A WATERFALL YOU CAN WALK INTO: LEVADA WALK & PICNIC IN PONTA DO SOL, MADEIRA

Confession: not every waterfall we love needs a rope. 🤫

This one, in Ponta do Sol, you can just walk into. A levada takes you there along the sunny south-west side of the island, you can make it a circular route with two levadas, and there are picnic tables right by the river. Some people even fire up a barbecue. We approve. 🧺

It’s our go-to tip for friends who swear they “don’t do canyoning”. (Spoiler: most of them end up doing canyoning.)
