Does it snow in Madeira island?

It’s not often that it snows in Madeira island. But yes it does snow! Usually, it only happens one or two times per year (or two years). And when it does we always try to make the best out of it, probably it’s the only option since we can’t do our favourite canyons . Another thing is that it allows us to take out of the storage the gear that we only use when travelling in our adventures abroad. As you can see, we spend most of our days on the mountains, but our love for nature, adventure sports, and Madeira island only grow stronger day by day. Christmas in Madeira Island 2020

If we were asked which month is the most special in Madeira island it would unquestionably be December, Christmas and new years eve celebrations make it something really special. December has a wide range of well-established traditions such as the Childbirth Mass, the markets, the food of the season, the lights and of course the drinks as well. Update on Covid-19 in Madeira Island

This is the latest update on Covid-19 in Madeira island, which our government intrusted us to divulge through our means. So here are the most update numbers and measures: “One month after the resumption of he tourist activity, the Autonomous Region of Madeira registers to date, a total number of 116 cases of infection, of which only 18 are still active, continuing to be one of the safest destinations to travel in Europe as the result of the effective control of the pandemic in the Archipelago of Madeira, without any community transmission and with the registration of only 90 cases before the reopening of tourism, on July 1. Travelling Madeira 2020 – All about Covid 19

Madeira details Standardization Plan for Air Accessibility The Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) has defined, in relation to the Standardization Plan for Air Accessibility, to be in force as of July 1, with regard to travelers to the airports of Madeira and Porto Santo: 1.  Filling out and submitting the epidemiological Survey: http://apps.iasaude.pt/s-alerta/questionarios/viagem/questionario.cfm?l=EN  (in english) In other languages:  http://apps.iasaude.pt/s-alerta/questionarios/viagem/ All passengers must complete the Regional Health Authority’s (IASAÚDE) form. The form should be filled in previously to the trip, between 48 and 12 hours before departure. The survey is available at the Regional Health Authority’s website and, will also be accessible through airlines’ websites that so consent.
